sOPHIE'S PERSONAL STORY

At the age of nine, 45 and 20 degrees stopped being angles I learned in math class and quickly became the curvatures found in my spine. After hearing that surgery was almost certain, my family and I traveled to UCLA for a second opinion. That visit marked the beginning of a six-year journey in a scoliosis brace, one that shaped who I am today both physically and mentally. I had only four hours a day outside of my brace, and I spent every one of them dancing. Dance became my freedom, my way to reclaim movement, expression, and joy. While the brace held my body in place, it gave me discipline, resilience, and a new understanding of strength.

Inspired by that journey, I created the “Scoliosis Strong” Necklace. It's a delicate but powerful reminder that strength isn’t always loud, sometimes it’s quiet, persistent, and deeply personal. This necklace is for anyone living with scoliosis, or anyone who’s ever carried something hard and kept going anyway.

Each piece represents the power of showing up, standing tall, and holding onto hope through life’s twists and turns.
